Invites Fellow Educators to Co-Host the Political Deprogramming Classroom
The Wayfinding Station and Leaving MAGA Guide announce a live weekly series to midterm voting, and a nationwide call for teachers — in classrooms, pulpits, and communities — to become distribution partners in the most urgent civics lesson of their careers. Joy West Press — Kirsten Peck, the award-winning teacher behind the Betrayed by Trump Guide, has launched the MAGA Exit Countdown: a live, two-show weekly broadcast running through the November 3 midterm elections. And she’s looking for co-teachers.
“Every teacher knows the moment a student realizes they’ve been given bad information,” she says. “The confusion. The anger. The embarrassment. Now imagine that student is forty-five years old, has voted Republican their entire adult life, and just watched their political movement demand they defend something indefensible. That’s who shows up here. And that’s who needs a teacher.”
The MAGA Exit Countdown runs on a two-show rhythm:
Sundays — Political Commentary: Forensic breakdowns of the week’s events through the lens of gang exit theory. The MAGA Compass — a confidential six-question diagnostic — serves as the entry point.
Tuesdays at 7PM ET — The Watch Party & Pep Rally: A live, community-building broadcast designed to replace the rally experience for former supporters who left but haven’t found a new room to belong in.
Both shows are produced by the Betrayed by Trump Guide, the channel’s instructional coach on Youtube — a curriculum built on the premise that leaving a political gang is a skills problem, not a character problem. Reading comprehension. Critical questioning. Recognizing loyalty tests. The material is rigorous, but the method is accessible. “Deprogramming is easier than people think,” Kirsten says. “If you can teach someone to spot a loaded question, you can teach them to spot manipulation. The skills are the same.”
The Invitation to Teachers
The MAGA EXIT COUNTDOWN is seeking educators — broadly defined — to join the broadcast as rotating co-hosts and distribution partners. You do not need to have the MAGA exit figured out. In fact, the ideal co-host may still be in the middle of their own.
Teachers, professors, literacy specialists, pastors who’ve watched their congregations fracture, community organizers who know how to run a difficult conversation — the invitation is open. The curriculum is built. The live shows are running. What’s needed now are partners who can help distribute the material into their own classrooms, congregations, and communities.
“This isn’t about being a former Republican on a redemption tour,” Kirsten says. “It’s about being a teacher who recognizes that millions of Americans are trapped in an information ecosystem that functions exactly like a gang. And teachers know what to do with students who’ve been taught wrong — you don’t shame them. You give them better material and the skills to evaluate it themselves.”
